After eating a bit and snuggling, Lucretia slipped back into the shelter and a few moments later I saw movement inside and it was the most adorablest little tortoiseshell kitty I have ever seen! I grabbed my camera but she’d already ducked for cover. I saw three total today: the torti, a tabby like Lucretia and a solid black one. (via Spinster Cat Lady » Lucretia’s Babies!)

Izzie the orange tabby and Duchess the black & white domestic short hair. Izzie is finally old enough to get neutered but his human needs help to afford the low cost clinic next month. If you’d like to donate to help Izzie and/or Duchess get neutered and vaccinated you can do so via paypal.

If you are able to help donate to Kitty Fund, I and my mom would greatly appreciate it. Given how dark these last months have been, Izzie and Duchess have been the biggest blessing and the greatest lights. They are my hope when I have little to none. Not being able to provide for their care is heart wrenching. I want to do the best I can for them, but given the length of my unemployment and the devastating effects it’s had on our household … we need the kindness of pet lovers like you to provide for them.

We alternate what we feed the kitties to save money. Today is wet food day and it’s their favorite thing. To ensure everyone gets their share I have to prepare the food bowls with a little dry food and then 1/3rd a can of wet food. Tummy still finishes before everyone else and winds up shoving his way into someone else’s bowl, but this way everyone gets a good shot at having their own bowl.
After everyone had eaten I played with the kitties for a good 35-40 minutes. Piranha is still recovering from her trauma of getting trapped in an HVAC duct so it took her a little longer to get playful. Other than an increase in caution, though, she appears to be fine.
Tomorrow we will start putting posters/flyers out with photos of the kittens. They’ll be ready to get fixed in February, which means they need homes ASAP.

Rescue Kitties Ready For Adoption: Mr. Tumnus (male, approximately 4 months old, intact), Peekaboo (male, approximately 4 months old, intact) and Athena (female, approximately 1-2 years old, unknown if intact or spayed).

After filling their bellies with wet & dry cat food (with a chaser of KMR) the kitties were feeling frisky. I was able to get Tumnus, Spindle, Peekaboo and Piranha to all play together. Athena watched from the sidelines.
