Alright. So we recently had another round of Asshole Starts A Rumor. This time it was Beau from Blessthefall. A dude in a band. A dude who should know better. I’m not including the original tweet because I’m sure enough people saw it. General gist: Beau had confirmed info that FOB was recording (FOB dudes have said this is false). I am including the exchange between him and pupfresh that followed because this is the important part. This is why people do this shit. It’s not because they are excited fans who want to share exciting information they found out with you. They are not FOB fans, they are not your friend, they are not being nice. They are trying to start shit, they are trying to hurt you and the dudes in FOB, and they are trying to get attention (and in the case of pupfresh, hits/likes/reblogs). And so far it has succeeded pretty much every time someone has pulled this kind of stunt.

As a fanbase, we need to stop giving them what they want. We all need to realize that the only people we can trust with this sort of information are Andy Hurley, Joe Trohman, Patrick Stump, and Pete Wentz. Everyone else is full of shit. You have to trust that if something is happening the dudes in FOB will tell us. Have some faith in them. 

All this rumor crap is doing is causing an endless cycle of fans getting hurt and attacking the guys in FOB when they tell them the truth. No one should be attacking Pete, Patrick, Joe, or Andy for this. This isn’t their fault. (And I’m not saying anyone should run off and attack the assholes starting the rumors either. Just ignore them. Do not give them any attention at all.) Just take a step back and realize that the guys in FOB are not saying the things they are saying to hurt you, they’re being honest with you. They didn’t start the rumors. They didn’t get your hopes up. It’s not fair to attack them. All you are doing is hurting people you claim to love and want back.
