Helen Mirren wants to play the Doctor

i would watch the HELL out of this, when Matt eventually moves on. it also would make sense in the show, b/c the Doctor has been portrayed by younger and younger dudes for the most part — what are they gonna do next, cast somebody younger than Matt Smith? there was outrage over his age when he was cast, before he won everybody over. so this is a smart idea, they can cast a badass ~older lady as the Doctor next, and cast younger and younger ladies from there if they want to continue the trend.
(also casting a vote for Helen Mirren, as Twelve, to find some way to rescue River from that ~digital reality~ she’s stuck in, and then there can be Twelve/River via Helen Mirren/Alex Kingston. perhaps this is an implausible dream but how awesome would that be?)
