Rachel Maddow's Documentary of Dr. Tiller: The... →
rabbleprochoice: This wonderfully done documentary aired on MSNBC a year ago and it is now online. If you click on the link you should be able to watch all 6 parts of it in the video embedded into it (to view the next part click on the video boxes for each one on the right hand side). I’m going to watch it later. Love, Rabble

Obama Better For Women
liberalsarecool: A new Kaiser Foundation poll finds people think President Obama would be better for women than Mitt Romney on a host of issues. “On who looks out for the best interests of women, Obama leads 52-26%. Among women voters, it’s 59-25%.” Seems like only yesterday Romney was “rebounding with women.” The media wants this to be close, but the more you know about Mitt, the less you...

Rest in Peace Dr. Tiller
iamateenagefeminist: Three years ago today Dr. Tiller was murdered in his church for being an abortion doctor.  We will never forget the work you did.  We will never forget the women you helped.  We will never stop fighting to bring an end to violence against those who perform abortions.  Thank you, Dr. Tiler.  You will never be forgotten.

Usernames vs Names
Just a little PSA to my friends. I have a really crappy memory most of the time. So your username, even if it’s something completely unpronounceable, is what I will mostly think of you as. Every so often I’ll learn your actual names, but those almost never stick in my head and I’m very unlikely to casually call you by that. This doesn’t mean I don’t adore you, I...

I fail at tags too
ifshehadwings replied to your post: Tumblr Savior Agree. Although I feel like a hypocrite because I fail at tags a lot. I try to at least use the same weird tags for the same things most of the time, though :-/ Though I try very hard to at least put one tag on there that is descriptive. Using Missing e helps tremendously since it auto-copies tags on things I’m reblogging.

Tumblr Savior
ytisonimul replied to your post: Tumblr Savior What drives me crazy is when Tumblr Savior ignores my black list. It’s as if it wants me to start watching that godforsaken Teen Wolf, because it ignores EVERY tag for it. :/ have you checked to make sure you didn’t put the terms in the white list accidentally? possibly you need to uninstall/reinstall. I black list some terms of things I...

What distresses me is that no amount of filtering works when people refuse to use tags or use them consistently. I want to follow people, but sometimes it just gets to be too much. Even with things I otherwise enjoy/support.

– Phil Agre on Political Correctness (via jonathan-cunningham) Any time someone brings up “well I’m not ‘politically correct’” it calls for a mega-side eye. Because, what? Your desire to say whatever you want however you want to say it trumps the comfort and well-being of the people around you? (via...

It's Primary Election Day in Texas, y'all!
feminismisprettycool: If you weren’t able to get out and early vote, here is a complete list of polling places in Texas by precinct. If you live in Harris County, you can look up your polling location and a sample ballot here. Not sure which precinct you’re in? It should be listed on your registration card, but since there has been redistricting recently you can also look it up through the...

On Shipping and Fanboys
criefflocked: bringmehsomepie: patheticfangirl: This is my letter to angry fanboys. First, let it be known that I love most fanboys. When I go to a con, most of the guys there are respectful. They share a passion with me, and that’s awesome. We’re all on a rock floating through space with little connection to most of the people who surround us, so anything that allows us to bond is...
