August 2010
I’m surprised. Not by all the Fall Out Boy, Panic! at the Disco and My Chemical Romance. They’re my top three played artists. Rather, I’m surprised that Adam Lambert’s album surpassed Pretty. Odd. It’s not by much, and allowing for scrobbling errors it may not actually be in third place, but the fact that it’s up there that high at all? I started listening to Adam in the first week of May of this year. He really struck a chord with me. It’s a well put together album with enough variety to keep me interested.

Questions and Answers
What was the first song you ever heard by 6 (The Academy Is…)?
Good question! Um. Well, something off of Santi. I’m not sure which song though.
What is your favorite album of 2 (Panic! At the Disco)?
Wow, there’s so much choice there. While I love Pretty. Odd., nonsense lyrics only get you so far. A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out it is. (copy-pasted from Bella, because we share a brain sometimes)
What is your favorite lyric that 4 (Adam Lambert) has sung?
Wanna scream out / No more hiding / Don’t be afraid of what’s inside - from “Aftermath”
How many times have you seen 5 (AFI) live?
I’ve not seen them live yet, sadly.
What is your favorite song by 7 (The Hush Sound)?
“The Boys Are Too Refined” from Goodbye Blues is A++. (again, copy pasted from Bella)
What is a good memory you have involving the music of 10 (Cobra Starship)?
Their attitude toward their fans and life in general gave me the courage to go alone to Warped ‘08 to see them and other bands. They made me brave.
Is there a song of 3 (My Chemical Romance) that makes you sad?
“Cancer” from The Black Parade
What is your favorite lyric that 2 (Panic at the Disco) has sung?
With a sense of poison rationality - from “I Write Sins Not Tragedies” (IDC what the official lyrics say it is, that’s how I hear it and it rocks)
How did you get into 3 (My Chemical Romance)?
Bella. When I said “OMG MUSIC!?” she shoved me face first into MCR (amongst others).
What is your favorite song by 4 (Adam Lambert)?
“Voodoo” from For Your Entertainment (obviously)
What is a good memory you have involving 2 (Panic at the Disco)?
Standing next to Chris at the Honda Civic Tour, watching Panic! live for the first time. It was just an amazing feeling and they were so good and I was there with my best friend a short six months after introducing her to the band.
Is there a song of 8 (Blaqk Audio) that makes you sad?
*ponders* Uh….maybe in the sense that I’m not getting laid in the clearly kinktastically awesome fashion that Davey Havok is, in which case all of them. But…yeah, no. Not really.
What is your favorite album of 5 (AFI)?
Crash Love, but only just. Their last three albums have all really been to my liking.
What is your favorite lyric that 3 (My Chemical Romance) has sung?
I’m not okay / I’m not okay / Well, I’m not okay / I’m not o-fucking-kay / I’m not okay / I’m not okay - from “I’m Not Okay (I Promise)”
What is your favorite song of 1 (Fall Out Boy)?
Toss up between “Get Busy Living Or Get Busy Dying (Do Your Part To Save The Scene And Stop Going To Shows)” and “Bang The Doldrums” well, and “20 Dollar Nose Bleed” and “Saturday” and “Pretty in Punk” and ooh, “Lake Effect Kid” and…well, I have the same problem picking faves on their albums below.
What is your favorite song of 10 (Cobra Starship)?
Toss up between “Guilty Pleasure” and “Pete Wentz Is The Only Reason We’re Famous”
How many times have you seen 8 (Blaqk Audio) live?
Once at Bamboozle Left in 2008. It was, in fact, my introduction to them. They’re awesome.
What is your favorite album of 1 (Fall Out Boy)?
Oh…wow, um. I actually can’t do that. I can say that their very first album (Evening Out With Your Girlfriend) is not my favorite. But the other four albums (My Heart Will Always Be the B-Side to My Tongue, Leaked In London, **** Live In Phoenix and Believer’s Never Die - Greatest Hits don’t count for this IMO) are equal to me, though in different ways.
What is a great memory you have considering 9 (30 Seconds To Mars)?
I don’t know about a ‘great’ memory for this band really. I really enjoy their music, but they haven’t engendered any great experiences for me per se.
What was the first song you heard by 8 (Blaqk Audio)?
I’m going to say “Stiff Kittens” (I actually hate that title though). I’m not sure what the first song I heard from them was since we heard them for the first time at Bamboozle Left and didn’t know them. “Stiff Kittens” was one of the first songs they played, that I’m sure of.
What is your favorite cover by 2 (Panic! at the Disco)?
I’m going to have to disagree with my brain twin on this one. My favorite is “Tonight, Tonight” by Smashing Pumpkins. They took a song that I had enjoyed well enough originally and completely transformed it into something much, much better.
